We’re thrilled to have hosted the opening night of the new St Ives Carine Restaurant with our residents and their family and friends. Starting with a drink in the foyer, we moved into the restaurant to enjoy a delicious three course meal delivered by the team from Showcase Catering and, most importantly, some great conversation with great people.
It was tough to pick the best dish of the evening. For entree we enjoyed Pumpkin and Walnut Triangoli Pasta, with candied walnuts on a rocket salad. Mains was a choice of Roast Beef Fillet, served with crushed potato cake, prosciutto, steamed greens and shiraz jus or Seared Crispy Skin Salmon Fillet, with spinach mash, buttered broccolini and salsa verde. The dessert of Lemon Meringue Tart with coffee anglaise was an absolute winner!
One thing we can all agree on is that the restaurant created a beautiful ambience. There’s a beautiful privacy you don’t get in many restaurants, and the stunning view onto the St Ives Carine gardens makes the whole experience even more special.
We’re looking forward to many more summer evening meals with great food, great wine and great company (and listening to some great music!). Thanks everyone for coming along.
