Our Happiness Score increases by 11.2%

After reviewing our Mid-Year Resident Survey results, we are pleased to announce an 11.2% increase on our Happiness Score across all St Ives Villages.

Our Happiness Score increased from 74.3% (2018 Resident Survey, December 2018) to 85.5% (2019 Mid-Year Resident Survey, July 2019).

What is our Happiness Score and how do we calculate it?

Our Happiness Score is how we track our progress under our “Live Happy” business philosophy which we launched in February 2019. To track it, we simply average out the positive response scores across six questions that relate to our key Happiness Influencers. We ask our residents to score us based on the same six Happiness Influencer questions in both the annual and mid-year surveys.

The feedback we receive from our residents is incredibly valuable to us, and we are hard at work on the 2019 Resident Survey to get further insight into our resident’s views on their life at St Ives. The introduction of the Mid-Year survey was a first for St Ives and has enabled us to get more frequent feedback from our residents.

What’s next?

While we are thrilled to see the results improving, the survey results indicated that there are three areas where we could improve. We outline them and our next actions in the latest edition of the Happiness Report.
