St Ives Carine Open-Day

If the laughter and smiling faces are anything to judge by, then the Family Open Day at our Carine village on Saturday 7th April was a big success. The doors opened at midday and our first visitors were inside within moments, ready to explore and see what was on offer.

We were a bit worried in the morning when we woke to cloudy skies and even some rain, but Mother Nature looked after us and ensured the sun was shining when the doors opened for the Open Day. The wonderful tunes of the jazz band floated throughout the village, adding to the electric atmosphere.

Visitors were greeted by the smiling faces of our residents, ready to sit down for a chat about village life or to show them around the village. There’s nothing quite like a guided tour during an Open Day from someone who calls the village home – you get all the tricks and tips firsthand! The display homes were open for viewing as well, and plenty of foot traffic made their way through.St Ives Carine Open Day April 7
Special guest, Graham Moss, treated us to a speech about his footy days and had a chat with quite a few visitors as they wandered the gardens during the Open Day.

The kids had an absolute ball as well. The hardest decision they had to make was whether to have their face painted before or after their turn on the bouncy castle!

There were heaps of prizes on offer if you stopped by for the Open Day, including days at the footy to watch the Claremont Football Club, a case of boutique wine, and meals for four at the Carine village restaurant. Not to forget the free golf lessons and invitation to join the St Ives Wine Club.

All in all, the Family Open Day was a big hit and we all left with full bellies and the memories of exploring the wonderful Carine village.
