Assistant Village Manager

About the role

Reporting to the Village Manager, you’ll play an integral role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of the village. You’ll oversee administration and reception services, support and mentor the Village team, and help ensure the village operates efficiently while delivering an outstanding resident experience.

This role is well suited to someone who has experience in retirement living, aged care, community services, healthcare, or hospitality and enjoys balancing operational responsibilities with meaningful relationships and exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

  • Act as a first responder in emergency situations (fire, medical, etc.)
  • Provide high‑quality administration services to residents, visitors, contractors and stakeholders
  • Welcome and support new residents, helping them settle into village life
  • Lead, support and coordinate the Village Operations team
  • Manage rosters, accounts, invoices and receipting
  • Coordinate and oversee the Contractor Management System
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and safety requirements
