Valentine’s Day At St Ives Mandurah

Cupid made a special Valentine’s Day visit to our Mandurah village, leaving behind a trail of roses and smiling faces. Once again proving their love for a good party, residents got together for a Sundowner featuring great music and food.
The gentle melody of harp music filled the Clubhouse as Bronwyn Wallace treated the residents to some classical music to add to the ambience of Valentine’s Day. It wasn’t long until one of our residents, Jill, got up on stage with Bronwyn to join in and share her musical talent on the cello.
As always, the kitchen army was in fine form, producing an array of delicious finger food specially for the Valentine’s Day Sundowner. Jenny was all smiles as she sliced and diced her way to the perfect tray of bite-sized treats.
A big Happy Birthday is also owed to Lorry who celebrated her 80th birthday with a glass of champers! We hope you had a wonderful day Lorry (actually, we hope you celebrated for a few days!)
Rita Willsdon-Jones, one of the talented photographers at the village, was on paparazzi shift during the Valentine’s Day event, snapping some great photographs of residents as they enjoyed the evening. We would like to thank Rita for taking the time to share these photos with us.
Here are just a few of the happy snaps from the Valentine’s Day Sundowner.
