It's truly a place where we can relax, socialise, and enjoy our retirement to the fullest yet continue living on our own terms.

Reflecting on our time since moving to St Ives Murdoch retirement village, we can’t help but feel a sense of contentment. It’s truly a place where we can relax, socialise, and enjoy our retirement to the fullest yet continue living on our own terms.

Transitioning into this chapter of our lives felt like a daunting prospect at first, but from the moment we set foot in our new home, we experienced a sense of satisfaction that the correct decision to downsize to this retirement village had been made. Any apprehension regarding the move was squashed!

Living in the retirement village has been nothing short of a revelation. Gone are the stresses of homeownership, replaced instead by a sense of freedom and liberation that allows us to focus on the things that truly matter to us.

But more than just a convenient living arrangement, the retirement village is a vibrant community filled with kindred spirits and easily-made friends. There is a multitude of daily physical or intellectual activities to engage in with a social calendar the envy of other retirement villages. There’s never a shortage of opportunities for socialising and camaraderie.

What we’ve found here is so much more than just a place to live—it’s a home in every sense of the word. And as we continue to journey through this chapter of our lives, we feel most comfortable to be surrounded by such a supportive and nurturing community as a haven of friendship, and endless possibilities.
