Our apartment is similar in many ways to our last home, simply with a few less rooms, but with many more village facilities and amenities.
Having personally designed, built and owned all of our family homes over the previous 50 years it was a very different feeling moving into an apartment within a Retirement Village, not to mention a suburb far removed from that we were used to. There are so many changes and compromises to consider. However, our home needs to complement our stage in life, too. Our apartment is similar in many ways to our last home, simply with a few less rooms, but with many more village facilities and amenities. St Ives Carine has worked well for us, and we have settled into a community of like-minded people and of very similar ages. The selection of social events and gatherings available are many and varied for us to attend if we wish, but we can still maintain our own privacy when needed. In a village like ours, management is extremely important, and first impressions really count and are always a reflection upon any establishment. At St Ives Carine our young ladies in the Office and Reception serve us extremely well in that regard easily building a rapport with both Visitors and Residents alike and earning their trust. They are good listeners, always smiling, and bring their own personality to the fabric of our village community.
