When we moved into St Ives Carine almost seven years ago, it was a leap of faith. We had no idea how we would take to apartment living and the change of lifestyle that it would entail. Within about three months, we realised that we had made the right decision for us.

The thing which makes St Ives special, for us, is the people. Our fellow residents are from all walks of life. They are interesting, entertaining, and always willing to help if needed. (and have been known to share a wine or two).  

Our front of house reception team, specifically Samantha, Kirsten and Lisa, are efficient and willing to assist, or find information if we request, and the restaurant …. oh boy, the restaurant staff …. prepares and serves magnificent meals and are all warm-hearted and considerate of our needs. They almost seem to regard all of us as surrogate aunties and uncles!

This lifestyle was never on our agenda, but we have never looked back, and you can teach old dogs’ new tricks!
