Resident Talents: Part two

Northshore’s recent Fete was the perfect opportunity for residents to showcase their hard work and creativity. Here’s a snapshot of some of the great pieces that were designed and crafted in the Village.

John Vincent: Turning waste and nature into works of art

John is a man of many talents and one of them is re-purposing objects into artwork. After collecting hundreds of bulbs after they fall to the ground he turned them into a castle, a snake and a few other clever creations. John’s turned a number of quirky pieces of wood and sticks into interesting walking sticks as well.

Even his lighthouse and its house is recycled ? could you tell the lighthouse is made from a postage tube and soft drink bottle, or that the house is a tissue box and discarded tray?

Jim’s hands are quite talented when it comes to woodwork. From salt and pepper shakers to toys to clocks, there isn’t much he hasn’t created.
