Elton John set the stage alight at St Ives

Here at St Ives we’ll take any reason to celebrate that we can find, so with Spring firmly here we thought we should throw a few parties. Any excuse will do!

Our residents at Carine, Centro and Northshore were all treated to a spectacular performance from the world’s most authentic Elton John impersonator, Kim Hoffman, as well as great food and a few drinks.

203 Village Event

We kick started Elton John’s St Ives tour at Carine, with residents and their family and friends getting comfy on the lawn for the evening. After tucking into some delicious canapes and fish and chips, Elton’s music became the main focus and everyone had a blast.

Next stop was the Northshore fete. Residents displayed their arts and crafts, paintings and woodwork, as well as going head to head in bowls, darts and mini golf competitions. The Northshore choir performed as well, proving to be an excellent opening act for Elton John. All it took was one brave dancer and soon the dance floor was busy.

198 Village Event

The third and last stop for Elton John was at Centro and it was here that we set a record for the most people on the dancefloor throughout the whole tour. The Clubhouse came alive with the excited chatter of our residents and Elton’s tune. The common sentiment among the residents that they should get out dancing more often!

206 Village Event

Our Murdoch Village will host a Christmas Market Day on the 20th November. Come down to the Village between 10am and 2pm to check out the range of arts and craft stalls, games and food that will be on offer!

Albany residents will be tucking into a Ploughman’s Lunch followed by some bush poetry and bingo on the 14th November.

Never to be outdone, our Mandurah Village hosted a Hoedown a few weeks ago, check out more on that big night here.
