Summer may be coming to an end but the sunny afternoons perfect for a Sundowner are definitely not over yet, especially when there’s Barefoot Bowls events to be had! Our Murdoch residents came together on Tuesday evening for a few hours of fun in the sun, taking full advantage of the bowling green at the village.
When looking around the Clubhouse veranda and the bowling green, there seemed to be no empty seat or spare space: it was great to have almost 200 of our residents join us for an afternoon of Barefoot Bowls.
Our residents love any excuse to get together for some nibbles and drinks, but they really enjoyed the opportunity to challenge one another to a game or two of Barefoot Bowls. It didn’t take long before a few serious games were going on, but there were also a few residents learning a trick or two as well.
No Barefoot Bowls event can be considered a total success without a sausage sizzle, so it’s lucky the BBQs were fired up and the snags were on the grill! We are quite lucky to have plenty more afternoons of great weather in store for us here in Perth so it won’t be long until the next event is on!
The residents at our Murdoch village are a close-knit bunch who love to get together quite often, whether it be for an activity or some exercise, or just a catch-up over coffee.
