Maintenance Supervisor

What we’re looking for:

We’re in search of a proactive, multitasking, problem-solver with excellent communication and administration skills. Someone who is values driven, with extensive knowledge of maintenance issues and workplace safety to oversee village facility maintenance and lead a small, dedicated maintenance team. 

You’ll champion our customer service ethos and be able to connect with diverse groups while upholding our purpose, vision, and values.

Reporting to the Village Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and managing repairs, maintenance, and contractors ensuring timely project completion.
  • Coordinating and overseeing minor & major maintenance projects and participating in long-term planning. 
  • Leading and supporting the maintenance team, including recruitment, training, and conducting performance reviews.
  • Managing maintenance software, contractor compliance, and WHS/risk registers.
  • Acting as a fire warden, coordinating evacuation drills, and upholding safety standards.
  • Assisting with budget planning and ensuring timely communication and feedback to residents.
  • Managing all administrative tasks related to maintenance operations.
  • Cultivating resident relationships and addressing minor complaints.

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Experience in property or facilities management or experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in leading and managing a small team.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills & familiarity with online maintenance systems.
  • Customer service focus; you’ll be adept at relationship-building.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Effective communication, decision making and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proactive problem-solving and innovative thinking.

A current driver’s license and National Police Clearance are essential for this role.
