Sunday 17th February was a special day in the calendar of St Ives in Mandurah. As the pictures show, a wonderful display of talent from the residents including live music performances and spoken literature and poetry added to the amazing day.
Jill Cooper, who is a resident and also a sales representative for the village, was invited to formally open the day. Jill stated that she was honoured to be given the opportunity to commend the residents on their quality and quantity of craft presented on the day. Paintings, quilts, woodturning, photography, knitting, crochet work and much more.
Jill who is a 'cellist and her husband Robert who is a violinist, started proceedings with a short recital.
The Clubhouse was alive with creation! Mary Hicks provided some of her wonderful poetry and writings. The kitchen department presented Devonshire Teas with the added elegance of a glass of Champagne if requested! Well done to the organizers including Rita Wilson Jones and her team.
