Jennifer brings local know-how to St Ives Home Care in South West
A Busselton local, Ms Richards brings a wealth of experience and local knowledge to this role and is excited about the opportunity to head up both the provision of Government subsidised Home Care packages locally and also the unique and successful St Ives Care After Hospital (Transition Care Services) program.
“I am excited to be a part of St Ives Home Care at a time where the population trends see us all wanting to live to an older age and be healthier and more active in our communities. These trends are driving never before seen changes in the aged care industry. It is important to identify how well older people can access health services, including health education and how they adapt to the delivery of a wellness approach to health care. With this trending, I feel that that St Ives is well placed to play an integral part in improving the health outcomes of our population by providing holistic multidisciplinary care at an exceptionally high standard. I am really pleased to be part of a team of dedicated staff that will deliver this to our communities in the South West region of WA,” Ms Richards said.
Ms Richards brings her experience working with the South West Medicare Local as well as a gerontology, neurology, mental health and disability background with organisations such as Baptistcare, Silver Chain and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
