Enrolled Nurses

We are expanding our Residential Care services at St Ives Murdoch with our 141 beds of high and low care, including two dedicated memory loss support units. To support this exciting development, we require additional Enrolled Nurses for morning and afternoon shifts to join our care team.
 
Reporting to the Care Services manager, and working closely with the Registered Nurse, the role is responsible for:
  • Coordinating care to residents under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Care Services Manager
  • Providing direct nursing care to residents under the direction of the Registered Nurse/Care Services  Manager
  • Assisting in the development of care plans for residents
  • Implementing the care plans in consultation with residents, families and other members of the care team
  • Administering medications in line with WA Nursing & Midwifery Board standards, and St Ives policies and procedures
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Enrolled Nurse with current WA Nursing & Midwifery Board Registration
  • Experience in working in Aged Care an advantage
  • Clinically sound nursing practice
  • Sound working knowledge of the Aged Care Standards & medication administration standards
  • ACFI knowledge an advantage
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Senior First Aid certification

Personal Care Assistants - St Ives Murdoch

The roles are responsible for:
  • Assisting residents with all aspects of personal care and meals service
  • Care competency based wound management
  • Assisting residents with medication needs competency based
  • Needs based spot cleaning
  • Documentation of the residents care needs
  • Maintaining and updating resident records
We are looking for someone who has:
  • Passion and experience in aged care
  • Previous experience in working autonomously and as a team
  • Qualifications – Certificate III Aged Care or equivalent minimum
  • Senior First Aid Certificate preferable

Personal Care Assistants, St Ives Melville

We have a position available for an experienced PCA for night shift: 7 shifts per fortnight, Thursday to Sunday.
 
Candidates need previous experience in Aged Care and Cert III. All applicants are also required to have Police Clearance and working rights in Australia.

VHC/HACC Assessor, St Ives Care

Our Community Care Division is seeking a suitable candidate to be based at our Myaree office in our VHC/HACC team. Reporting to the Unit Manager, this role is responsible for:
  • Determining eligibility for VHC and HACC services by completing appropriate assessments, reviews and support plans in line with the Wellness Approach
  • Informing stakeholders of changes in recipients care needs by responsive service planning
  • Working within the scope of the VHC & HACC budget
To be successful in this position you will have:
  • Experience in client assessment
  • Health related qualifications
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Current drivers license and National Police Clearance

Traineeships with St Ives Care

No Qualifications? Traineeships Available!

St Ives is a Registered Training Organisation offering high quality, nationally recognised training for candidates in Aged Care. Our training program has been running since 2008 and is specifically designed to meet the needs of the aged care industry.

We currently offer Government funded traineeships in Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care) to eligible candidates. The course involves both classroom activities and paid on-the-job work experience in the community. Students on Government funded traineeships will be paid to learn, and gain valuable skills and experience whilst working in the community.

We are currently running Certificate III in Community Services (Aged Care) course both north and south of the river. If you have partially completed your studies, contact our training department to see if you can gain recognised prior learning for your studies to date.
